Tampa Bay REACT is pleased to announce that it will be participating in the 2014 Tampa Bay Hurricane Expo “Are you ready Tampa Bay?” on Saturday May 31st, 2014 at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), 4801 East Fowler Avenue, Tampa FL. The event runs from 9AM to 2PM on May 31st and admission is Free to the expo and discounted admission to the museum is available for purchase the day of the event. Parking is always free at MOSI!
The Expo is an educational event for the entire family. You will enjoy plenty of children activities, exhibits and much more! This year’s theme, Are You Ready Tampa Bay will focus on the importance of taking actions before a major disaster to ensure you can recover successfully and thrive after a storm. While our local emergency responders are ready for any disaster we face, they still look to you, our residents, to help.
In addition to our guest speakers, other planned activities include safety demonstrations, emergency vehicle displays, vendors of safety products, personal disaster preparedness and home retrofit products will be on hand to show you how to be ready.

Tampa Bay REACT would like to congratulate Mike Bresse, W2YS (Our Founding Member) on the recent awarding of the Goebel Award by REACT International our parent organization. The Goebel Award is REACT‘s highest award and is generally given to those persons that have participated at the highest levels of the organization and have given countless hours of support in many ways.

On Saturday April 26th, members of Tampa Bay REACT participated in a joint event with Hillsborough County ARES/RACES in support of the 2014 MS Walk at the Lowery Park Zoo in Tampa, FL. During the event simplex communications were established along the event route, communications were maintained with event organizers as well as parking and traffic control was conducted.
